GERD ORDAL

Gerd co-founded Norway's first modelling agency, Team Models with Eivor Øvrebø in the mid 1970's. She then founded The Norwegian Modelling Academy, which was the leading school for modelling training throughout the 1980's. Gerd moved on to found the Norwegian School for Make-up Artists (NSMA). NSMA is currently the most acknowledged school in Norway for training make-up artist for the theatre and the film industry.		Gerd Ordal
Gerd has frequently made feature articles for Hjemmet, KK, Allers, TV Norge and God Morgen Norge in TV2. She has an extensive experiense in personal make-overs, and she has personally guided tousands of women in finding their best personal style. Gerd's extensive knowledge has established the foundation for Your Image Partner. The Your Image Partner system is the professional platform for all training and consultancy in the Image People organisation. Gerd's vision is that all human beings should get the opportunity the present themselves in the best possible way and be happy with their appearance.

THE SYSTEM

		The Your Image Partner system is the professional foundation for all activity in the Image People movement.
Gerd Ordal has developed Your Image Partner together with some of the most prominent image and style consultants in Scandinavia. The colour related parts of the system is based on the nature's own division into warm and cold colours, bright and dull, light and dark shades. The system is based on extending the customer's style and colours into his/ her clothes, hair, accessories and personality. The customer are guided in how he/ she can use her personal primary colours and complimentary colours, and which shades from the four colour categories that brings out her natural colours. Planning the base colour scheme for clothes and accessories is an important part of this process. The material the customer receives is easy to understand.  A special colour matrix and wardrobe planner makes wardrobe planning an easy home exercise for the customer. To elaborate about the importance of colours, the consultant is also trained in optical illusions, vertical and horizontal lines, use of patterns, curves and proportions. For style the customer learns about how to adjust for her personal & anatomical shapes.  The customer brings home a form advising about her personal makeup and skin care products. In consulting the customer, the Your Image Partner system is more of a professional framework and foundation than a strict rule book. The consultant will guide and give advice in a dialog with the customer. The system provides the tools to help the consultant throughout this process.

THE ORGANISATION

		The Image People organisation has two legs.
Image Academy is responsible for training the IP organisation while Image Partner (which is the part you now are visiting) is the organisation for and with these consultants. The Image Partner organisation of consultants and customers is managed by Country Directors, Regional Directors and Team Leaders. The Image Partner organisation is run by Instructors & Staff Instructors serving under the Academy's Principal. The IP consultants are not full time employees of Image People. The consultants offer their services as freelancers or from studios. Image People educates, administrates, supports and quality ensures the organisation. Image Academy educates the Image People organisation. The education at Image Academy is modular. Image Academy has departments in Norway and Denmark.
